So i just installed oem fog lites and oem fog switch on my 2012 santa fe. The fogs work great but now I cant arm my anti theft system with my key fob. I checked the batts in the keyfob, there ok. I tried my spare keyfob after checking the batts, it doesnt work either. I had a batt cable and a couple grounds disconnected when I was doing the fog lites. I checked my fuses inside and underhood, there ok. I temporarally removed the horn fuse so it wouldnt make noise in my garage then I disconnected the batt cable, I waited a few seconds then reconnected it. I heard some relays clicking and the park lites were flashing, I couldnt shut it off with the key fob. I had to push the emergency override button behind the dash below the steering wheel to stop the lites flashing. Its a factory slarm sys. It seems like the keyfob isnt communicating with the alarm module. Is this a common problem everytime you do elec work. Thanks.
