New car experience ruined by Safeway clerk.

So thank you very much Safeway and your incompetent clerk for ruining my new car experience. To summarize what happened: Grabbed a late lunch with the wife. We decided to stop by our local Safeway to stock up our groceries. My wife was kind of tired, and decided to stay in the car. When I came out, she shouted at me and said a shopping cart clerk had just bumped into our front bumper with the shopping cart. I heart just sank as she was telling me. It was what was said to me next that got me pissed beyond belief. My wife told me that as soon as the clerk noticed that she had bumped into our car, in addition to my wife was trying to get her to stop, the clerk just smiled at my wife and took off with the rest of the cart the clerk had gathered. I was livid, and immediately went in and asked for the manager. The manager and us looked at the damage, which, was a pretty good size crease. The manager then offered us two options. One: file a report and let the corporate runs its course. Two: Get an estimate, and submit the claim through corporate. The manager made it seemed like it was not a big deal since the crease was not a major incident. I was merely asking the responsible party to be coached, and of course, to be compensated. But the way the clerk avoided my wife was inexcusable. I will keep you guys updated on what Safeway says.
