I've replaced the front brakes twice now on my 2004 2.4L Manual Santa Fe.
Each time the dealership has commented on some excessive rusting of the calipers, and this last time around one had acturally seized and they had to cut it off.
When I got brand new ones put on I noticed they were nice an shiney silver. Within 3 weeks there were full rusted...and still are. I don't get it??
Yes I live in Vancouver Island and all that, but my wife who parks next to me has a pick-up and her calipers that are about 7 years old now still look nice and shiney.
Does anyone else have a 2004 Santa Fe and experience this? Is it possible something is dripping from somewhere that is cuased this premature rusting? I'm just kinda baffled by it.
Other than premature aging everything works fine, but it's just a real mystery.
Thanks...
