Hello, all. I just signed up and am posting a query for the first time. Should I violate any protocol in the process, please excuse my ignorance. I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 (2.7?) 5 speed manual, CEL illuminated, found codes P2187 and P2189 logged (pertaining to lean condition). I've sprayed some brake cleaner all around the intake manifold and associated bits and gizmos with no perceivable change in engine RPM. Only has 56,000 miles, and all vacuum hoses appear to be in good shape. One thing I DID notice however, was an apparent leak at the EVAP actuator on the left side of the intake as you're facing the engine. If I manually move the arm of this actuator to roughly the middle of its range of travel, the hissing goes away. My question is, am I correct in assuming there should be no air passing the diaphragm of this actuator? If not, would that be enough to cause these codes? (I supposed I've, technically, asked two questions now.) Thanks in advance for any insights.
Cheers,
Brendan
