As with many of you, the little plastic thingy inside the cup holder area broke. I initially shambled together a replacement pin. Then that too broke and I gave up since I didn't feel like taking apart the entire thing and replacing it for $50.
My initial solution: Cut up a cheap water bottle into halves, and now I had small retainer rings. Worked for keeping bottles upright and not toppling over since it created full side walls. However, quite crappy and cheap looking... lasted me about 2 yrs haha

My latest solution: I bought a rubber cup holder insert for a GMC Jimmy / Chevy Blazer off eBay for ~$10. It's an absolute perfect fit. I put a little velcro on the underside to help keep it affixed to the bottom and its great.
