2002 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L suddenly stopped while my daughter was driving it so I had it towed home and pulled codes. I got a Crankshaft Position Sensor error. Interestingly enough, the previous owner had the CPS and timing belt replaced just a few months ago. I tore it apart and found pieces of balancer belt behind the lower cover. Also in the process I pulled the crankshaft pulley off the timing belt so it's all out of time now. Would a broken balancer belt cause the engine to stall, and can someone point me to the procedure to reinstall the timing belt after the pulleys have been moved?
