Just after I purchased my used 4WD 2006 Tucson, the harmonic balancer failed and I had it towed to my house and I made the repair. The repair went well, but I now notice that when accelerating from a stop, there seems to be an initial clunking coming from the rear, as if going over a rough road. Once moving faster, the car drives fine and to be honest, I did not think much of it initially, as I thought it was just rough roads. I now realize that, like an idiot, I let the guy tow the car by lifting the front wheels and allowing the rear to roll.
What should I expect to be damaged given the clunking sound and tow method?
Any help would be appreciated - I should have known better!
Thanks,
Dan
