Has anyone needed engine repairs on a Hyundai GDI engine regardless of which model car it's in? Trying to get a handle on whether or not deposit buildup on the intake valves will be a problem with the Hyundai GDI's. I've been told the GDI was introduced with the 2009 Genesis. Since then they have added it to a number of other models and there should be plenty of cars out there with a lot of miles on them by now. Everything I read leads me to believe we're in for trouble down the road unless Hyundai has figured out a way in their engine design to prevent this. Also if you have a Hyundai GDI with 30M,40M our more miles on it with no problems let us know. That would be helpful. Haven't been able to get a meaningful response from Hyundai or the dealer on this.
