I ran a search on this and didn't really get the answer I was looking for. I love the slight whistle & whoosh sound from the turbo the car has and would love to make it just slightly louder. It got just slightly louder when I swapped the oem air filter with a K&N filter though. I didn't want to change the intake or add an exhaust or anything. I wanted to know what the differences between a blow off valve and a blow off valve plate are? If all I'm looking for is slightly more turbo sound then is the plate the way to go? If I went the blow off valve route, is there any noticeable performance benefit from it? I would love to hear your experiences with both the bov plate and those that have used the actual bov. Any mpg loss, computer or other issues? Thanks!
