YF community, I need your help!
When I got my 2013 SE, I had the dealer put in an aftermarket navigation unit (and also run an amp kit into my trunk for subs, which is sweet :). It's a Chinese unit, for which I've been able to get a lot of info, but it's still hard to work with in a lot of respects. It's a Rosen DS-HY1120-P11.
One thing that's a huge thorn in my side is the factory USB interface, which no longer works. The Hyundai A/V Jack Assy has the 3.5mm stereo connected to the head unit's AUX input, and that works, but the USB is not connected.
Instead, the head unit has an iPod interface included, and so I've got an iPod cable hidden in my glove box. Seeing as how I don't and never will use i-Crap (no offense to anyone, just personal preference), now I've got an interface that works which I'll never use, and an interface that I'd love to use but doesn't work. So here's where I need some help - I want to find a way to chop off the iPod connector and splice the wiring into the factory USB wiring so that when I turn on the system and hit the "iPod" function, it reads off my USB stick in the factory jack.
I hope this makes sense, and even more so, I hope it's possible. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will let me know! Here's the installer manual for my head unit:

...and attached here I've got pics of the factory Hyundai AV wiring harness (p/n 916813K030 I think) and jack assembly (p/n 96190Q, I believe), as well as a picture of the Rosen iPod interface cable (p/n DP-1013) and a screenshot of the iPod user interface on the screen.
Any help in this project will be immensely appreciated, it's a little thing but it's huge for me!
