My friends daughter has a 1996 Elantra wagon and I asked her how the car was and found out that her brother-in-law replaced the stereo and didn't use a wiring harness and spliced the wires.Since then has no dashboard gauge or shifter illumination, the dimmer switch burned up and was replaced and there is a fuse under the hood (10 amp?) that keeps blowing and is just left out now. All the warning lights on the dash work. This is the best description I can get from her. I think he got wires crossed somewhere or shorted something. I can't find a wiring diagram for that car. Any suggestions?
