Just got back from a trip to Canada's east coast and had a good time doing it. Just a hair short of 9000 miles from Colorado to PEI and back. I was struck by how many Honda's and VW's we saw out east. I averaged around 25 MPG for the whole trip, mostly because I didn't get above 55 MPH for a good portion of the trip. Managed to get 26.5 at least two times. Not bad for a car with 146k miles on it. One interesting thing that happened is I found out that the PSI in your tires decreases as you come down from altitude. I've had a slow leak on one tire so I was monitoring it closely. I started with 33 PSI in Colrado and ended up with around 29 by the time I hit the oceans(and this was on the good tires). I never knew that happened. Good to be back as the $5.30 a gallon in Canada was just killing me.
