Yes, that's right, I did it..measured the distance across the side rails, and the slot size, and how they engage to stay pt, and then a trip to the local You pull it/wrecking yard with a tape measure to investigate the possibilities..
They measure 103.3 cm across, and the gap is just over 1 cm wide.
SO, checked the usuall suspects, other foreign cars, but nothing big enuff, stumbled upon a 2009 or so Chev Equinox, measured, and away to the races we go! Exactly the same width! And how they go into the slot, AND the same thickness as the slot, and locking mechanism, too! Almost like they were made for both vehicles ! So , out they came in 5 minits, and $20 later, I'm at home installing them like they were made for the VC! Skip that $300 from the dealer crap for new ones! Go hunting! Now, how to swap in a cold air kit from a Mustang under that hood.....HHmmm...Lemme work on it..Check my photo albums for more pics!;)
