Greetings for the UK
My names Scott and Im from Kent in the Southern UK. Ive owned a 1998 Hyundai Lantra for 4 years and use it daily. I believe that in most of the world these are know as the Elantra but I may be wrong. Ive been lucky and never had any problems with the car, I did change both rear wheel bearings when I first got the car but since then the only other outlay has been for a bonnet/hood return catch spring (not the main one) that cost be £2 from a local hardware store !
I really like the car but when I have any questions there always seen to be issues that people (and even Hyundai) dont seem to know much about the Lantra model.
My model (1998 Hyundai Lantra GLSi 1.6 16V DOHC Automatic) seems to be quite unusual in the UK, for some reason as soon as you use GLSi, 16V and Automatic in the same sentence then everything seems to be thrown into confusion so joining you guys Im sure will help with any questions I may have in the future
Best wishes
Scott :)
