Hey guys so I just recently bought a 2014 Elantra SE and I really want to upgrade the stereo system. Unfortunately, I'm not able to find that much information on the forum here or on sites like Crutchfield about the SE, only the GT.
I would like to install a set of component and coaxial speakers that will be going off an amp, under the drivers seat, instead of the stock head unit. I'm pretty positive that I can use 6.5 speakers and have been looking at some Infinity speakers that I have seen on some of the other threads.
One big question I do have is what do you all feel, amp wise, is going to put to much strain on the alternator? I used to have a Nissan Maxima and was running two 12in Alpine Type R's on a 1700W Hifonics Amp and I ended up going through two alternators. Obviously an amp running my mids and highs won't be that much, but I was just curious. I've been primarily looking at 4chan amps that will put out around 75-100w per speaker.
Any advice or product suggestions would be great! I've already received a lot of install help on several other threads.
