So my fuel gauge was playing tricks on me! After observing the needle going from 3/4 full to empty and back to 3/4+ full on fill-up, and vice versa while driving on a full tank at around 200Km to "empty" and back to 3/4 full at around 280Km; I decided to dig into the fuel tank, removed the fuel pump-Sending Unit assembly, and as per a youtube video, I cleaned up the scale contact and the carbon slider, and re-installed the assembly back into the tank.
Went to fill the tank, and observed the needle go smoothly from 1/4 full to full without any drop back to empty! Will update when I reach around 200Km on the tank to let you know if it works.
