I have a 2013 GLS and just installed a double din Kenwood DPX500BT with two 12" Alpine Type-R's running off a JL Slash 1000/1 Amp and JL Evolutions in the back doors. Still stock in the front doors and no second amp but still sounds great. It's the same system I've used in my other cars except for the updated head unit.
Here's the problem. Actually I have two.
1) The is a slight buzzing or static noise when listening to FM radio. I would think it was the RCA's (I used a pretty cheap pair) but the is no noise playing USB, CD's, or Bluetooth.
2) When making a call using the Bluetooth people on the other end say they also hear like background noise or echos. Not sure since I haven't heard it myself. I can hear them perfectly fine though.
I have the Bluetooth cord behind the HU bundled up because it is really long. That and the FM antenna plug in are right next to each other. Could those two touching be interfering with each other?
I'm so lost as I'm not an expert so any advice would really help.
