License plate lights keep burning out?

Hey everyone! Dusk here.
For a few weeks now I noticed my stock license plate bulbs started to act strange.
My left one is about half burned out, and the right one started to flicker and burned out entirely.
So.. Easy fix right? I bought 4-smd led lights to replace the burnt out ones and as soon as I installed them they worked perfectly! But about twenty minutes later .. The right one burned out. And the left one is dim.

Is there something wrong with the wire?
what can I do?
