Bad Fuel Economy Fix

This may be of help to other members with bad fuel economy.
My 2000 Accent was getting 9L per 100km (26mpg) combined for ages and after doing all the usual stuff like replacing plugs, leads, air filter , 02 sensors, oil etc was still getting crap mpg the same as allways :o .
So after all this I decided to check and replace the fuel filter and sure enough it was the 13yo hyundai original factory part which was clogged with crap so bad the fuel flow was almost non existant.
So got a new $20 filter and fitted it, and now getting after last fuel up approx 6.5L per 100km (38mpg) combined !!!.

Didnt consider the fuel filter was an issue previously but now realize that a blocked/restricted fuel flow totally screws with the ecu's fuel trims and injector timings making the motor massively inefficient and very thirsty.

Totally happy with results, so anyone with similar issues pls consider this simple fix, amazing results for $20 :D

Pls post your results if you try this also.
