Has anyone been able to get a touch up paint match for iridescent silver blue pearl (Z3)? I had purchased the stick from the Hyundai dealer but it dried up before I got to use it. Last fall I ordered a bottle from one of the web companies. What they sent me was not even a close match. It was more of a silver grey. I worked with them a couple of months trying to get a match. I first sent them a picture of the spot on my car where I had used the paint. Each time they mailed me a sample of the new formula, I would take a picture of it against my car and send it back and explain to them that my car was blue, not Grey. After 3 or 4 times they finally got it a blueish tint but always too dark. After 3 or 4 more tries I got tired of taking and emailing the photos (got cold) and finally gave up and told them to send me the last sample color. They really did put some effort into it but why they didn't just try to match the color from my photos, rather than sending it to me to do it, after all they had more than half dozen photos. What I wound up with was paint that was darker than my car. Somewhere in the process they sent me a sample color that they said was the Dupont Z3 color match. I put it up against my Daughters 2010 Silver metallic and it was a closer match it it than my car. I sure hope that I don't ever have an accident and need body and paint work because I don't think anyone will ever match it.
