On a couple other forums, a few folks knock the Hyundai 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. They indicate Hyundai seems to attempt to squirm around to tell the customer he has not properly maintained his vehicle or abused his vehicle, even when he did none of those things. Owner had proper maintenance documentation for example. I have no idea if any of this is true or just envy.
So, this post is all about what should an owner do to protect his warranty so he does not run into a battle with dealers/Hyundai when it comes to his warranty? For example should he always have a dealer perform maintenance at recommended intervals or is getting the car fluid recommended service at Wal-Mart OK, for example, etc.?
