Hi Folks,
I'm driving a 2008 HD Elantra. Just a few days back, the tranny suddenly skipped up to 3rd gear and I had no power for acceleration. Had to floor the pedal before the car would pick up speed. Pulled over to the side, switch off the engine and waited for 5 mins before starting it. The problem went away. But last evening, the same thing happened again.
Did some search here and it seems like the problem could be due to faulty input/output speed sensors. Is it possible to change the sensors myself without going to the dealer? Cheers!
