Dynoing stock Coupe w AT

Since my 97 Vortec supercharged M3 had reached 256K miles I decided to get a new car, spent 2 months reading road tests etc, also drove the FRS (dog with 200 HP otherwise nice car). Wanted something that approximated the M3's HP. So bought the 3.6 Genesis Coupe with auto (I commute 18K per year). I really like the car but I think its a little short on HP compared to the M3. So I had it dyno'd and it came in at 242 HP in 4th gear pulls, old car about 265HP. I will probably try the FRS chip and re-dyno it. But they show 300HP on their dyno, granted with a manual transmission, so I wrote to them and asked what else they had done to the car since they only claim 15 to 20 rear wheel HP gain with the flash (sounds honest). I know they have a different exhaust, but have not heard back.
Some of the cat back systems claim about 10 to 15 HP gain, believable but $100 per HP increase (: The InJen cold air claims about 15, but I don't think it is in cold air, appears to be inside the engine compartment, if so it ain't cold air. Stock system could be restricted but it does get cold air. Anybody installed one of these.
I would like to get 290 at the wheels but I am not sure its possible without a vortec or turbo. Talked to Vortec, they might do a kit, fantastic product, 150K on the M3 install.
