So far when I've been doing brake work on my Accent I have been using the scissor jack which came with the car to lift the car placing it on the underbody rail as per the Owners Manual, and for safety also taking a good deal of the weight with another scissor jack placed under the lower suspension strut, front or back. I also put the removed wheel under the car as a tertiary safety measure - if both jacks fail the car will not end up flat on the ground ( that's my theory ).
OK it's obvious I'm going to need to lube my brakes regularly so I'm buying an axle stands. I don't intend to have more than one wheel off at a time.
Question is where do I place the stand ?
