Hello. I've got 83k miles on my Sonata now.
I've been getting the noise only under specific conditions: 1. temperature below 40F 2. Shifting up at around 2k rpm. no engine noise when shifting up above 2.5k rpm. (both in manual mode and automatic) 3. It only happens when shifting up from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.
I can't exactly describe the noise, but I thought it was the turbo issue at first, sounding like breathing in hard.
I've replaced both engine oil and transmission oil right on schedule.
Should I just bring my car in to a Hyundai dealership? Is inspection free of charge under powertrain warranty?
I heard that if any mechanical issue is not found throughout inspection, they charge.
I'd appreciate your help.
