Hi All,
New Hyundai Azera owner. 2012 without the Tech Package.
The competition was the Nissan Maxima (my previous 4 cars were Maximas, and the one before that an Altima), and the sibling Sonata 2.0T.
The Azera beat the Maxima on overall size and features for the price. It was a mix on the appeal of the interior.
The Maxima SV + Sport Package has it on sporty handling and a better stereo (Bose vs Dimension). The equivalent Maxima cost a bit more. The Maxima's Premium + Tech Packages would have lost to the Azera's Tech package. That roof is simply amazing.
The Sonata SE 2.0T w/Premium package put up a good fight against both, but the interior, especially the rear seat, was a little cramped, and the interior had lots of features, but wasn't quite as nice as the other cars. I really had a thing about the leather/cloth seats, and the passenger seat wasn't power. A longer test drive may have swayed me. I was looking forward to performance mods on the 2.0T.
Fingers crossed!
