Hey guys I'm new to the forums recently got myself an 05 accent that needs new belts so i was in the middle of replacing them and while i was aligning the timing marks by turning the camshaft the belt lost all its tension and low and behold i look down to see a broken belt. Now i have marks that are probably of a bit and arent on tdc.
I noticed the shop manual doesn't align the marks with the belt on it says to disassemble everything then remove the belt and pulleys etc etc for inspection then afterwards you do the tdc marks with no belt on? should i follow suit and just align the camshaft and then the crankshaft install the new belt and prey that all is well? what is the best course of action in my situation. I had a feeling my belt was a gonner anyday here. and it snaps now -__- please reply quickly im running out of sunlight and need my little car running much love thank you guys!
