Upgrading 2003 V6 2700 Santa Fe 4WD

Need your guys advice on:

Any flaws on the V6 2003 2700 cc engine and model
Availability and choices of aftermarket shocks and wheels/tires for a car that will be driven in Africa (yes DRC, Kinshasa) in a hot climate. I will be posted there for 2 years and bought the car2nd hand, in excellent condition.
Any performance stuff for the V6 2700 engine
Brake upgrades, cooling upgrades
Headers and exhaust systems

Any advice is welcome.
