A week or so ago I posted about some exessive motor noise during cold starts after swithcing to Mobil 1 last summer. Thank you for the replies I got, however I posted the same thing over at Bob Is The Oil Guy and I got a plethora of responses from all kinds of vehicle owners about more engine noise with the use of Mobil 1 Synthetic.
Many vehicle owners claim this was reduced or even eliminated by using other brands, most notibley Quaker State Ultimate Durability that many claim is much, much more quiet in their vehicles than Mobil 1.
The problem is, no one over at BITOG has real life experience with a 2004 (or closet to it) Santa Fe.
Are there any Santa Fe owners of our vintage that can give me some direct experience with using Mobil 1 vs any other synthetic oil with regards to egine noise? Especially during cold starts?
