Compare SFS To Competing Vehicles

I'd like to hear from SFS owners what other mid-size SUVs they considered before choosing the SFS and what considerations were most important in their decision.

For me, having owned my SFS 2.0T FWD for only a few weeks, I can say I feel no buyer's remorse. Very happy with the quiet, comfortable ride (even with 19" rims), the available features/options, and the looks.

In a previous thread (SRS Profile), I mentioned how the SRS profile resembled a Lexus RX-350 parked in neighbor's driveway. Same proportions. Then yesterday, I rode in my friend's Cadillac SRS. The back cargo area was very similar to the SFS. It's ride was nice, quiet, and comfortable, but no better than the SFS. It apparantly was a base model, because I didn't see a panoramic sunroof, and seat coverings were somewhat firm, assuming they were of premium vinyl. Then I checked the Mfg. Retail Price on that unit, and it was $3000 more than my loaded up SFS. In fact, to get a comparably equipped SRS to mine, the sticker would have been $9000 more. Granted the SRS had a V-6, which I would have preferred over the turbo, but it had no other redeeming features, IMO, to the SFS. By the way, I know the Santa Fe LWB has a V-6 option, but I didn't want or need the extra space.

Of most important to me when considering a mid-size SUV were comfortable, quiet ride, back cargo area space (with back seats up), price (value proposition), reliability, and overall engine performance and mpg efficiency. The reliability and value proposition (depreciation) are yet to be known, but the other attributes have met my expectations to date.

The only SUV I didn't check out that maybe I should have was the Mazda CX-5. It had most of the qualities I favor, except it may not be the quietiest on the road. Nevertheless, I was so impressed with the SFS test drive, I felt comfortable with my buying decision. Most of the luxury brands I didn't consider because generally they are luxury brands in name only, and the SFS can give you most all the luxury you'll ever need.

So, lets here from you SFS owners and why you bought the SFS.
