I got my much awaited LED DRLs from Shark Racing that came with the pair of DRL Delete Harnesses. The Harness were in Elec. Shrink wrap and I had to bend the wire to connect to the headlight. Well I immediately has issues with getting things to work right. After a lot of "noodling" I discovered that two of the wires in the Harness connector for the headlight had pulled out of the pins. On further examination I found that it seemed that the crimping was not that great and that the material in the connector itself was fairly thin which could have added to a less than solid crimp. I also found that none of the connections had been soldered and the connectors for the DRLs them selves and the ones off the delete harness had simply been twisted together and simply taped. Needless to say I took all the connections and connectors apart and soldered those that were still crimped to ensure a good connection.
I would bet that a lot of the connectors for various electrical items that we purchase from overseas could well suffer from this lack of material quality, attention to quality control in the assembly and overall lack of quality.
So IMO a wise person would be well served to redo things like connectors and connections or a some point you might encounter problems and troubleshooting could be very difficult because things are already installed, secured and maybe not readily accessible.
