Just had 1st service carried out on i10 Active auto at 6500 miles, to be told that the front pads were completely worn out so had to have them replaced. I appreciate that autos work the brakes harder but I didn't expect to get only 6500 miles out of the pads.
I spoke with the Technician who carried out the service to ask if any faults had been found with the brakes e.g. grabbing or being over-tightened but he said everything was working correctly. The only advice he gave was to use the brakes less often! I didn't realise braking was optional!
Anyone else got through brake pads like this? I realise no two drivers are alike but it would be interesting to know what mileage others autos drivers have achieved out of the their pads before having to replace them. I don't fancy having to pay for replacements at such regular intervals so any ideas would be appreciated on how to overcome this problem and/or challenge the dealer.
