Those who have personally change the oil, please jump in

The 'service manual' I downloaded doesn't have the oil change procedure, so need to rely on the masses to have all the parts ready. Only found the torque specs for the drain plug and filter cap, and both should be torqued to 25 ft/lbs. Noticed this car has the oil filter like BMWs (on top of the engine). My M3 V8 required THREE separate O-rings, which were included with the oil filter. Here are my questions:

1. How many O-rings on our oil filter cap? If only one, does it require replacing every time or not? Did you change it?

2. Did you make a mess when removing the cap? On BMWs, you need to 'burp' the cavity by lifting the highest part of the cap first, allowing it to 'gulp' air first. Once you hear that, then it's safe to remove the cap without any leaks (yes, made a mess the first time :o). Is it the same on this car?

3. How many quarts of oil did the engine take to register full on the dipstick? Manual says 6 qts, but I'd have to buy an extra quart if it's a bit more than that. I always drain the engine overnight, by the way.

4. Does anybody know what exactly is in our cars from the factory? Manual just says Quaker State (no kind specified). And dealer said Valvoline synthetic blend . I had to top off mine (1/2 qt), and used what I always use for my cars, which is Mobil1 5/30. But just curious, to see how many miles I leave it there. Will start using full synthetic (Mobil1) when I change it.

5. I'll probably buy the OEM filter, but just to have other alternatives handy, please post which aftermarket filter you used, and how it compared to the stock one. Auto parts stores don't have any info. Found on the net 2 conflicting Fram P/Ns: CH10515 and 10850, so that's why I'm asking for PERSONAL experience, not just 3rd party info. I also want to hear the comparison. By the way, the CH10515 is what the Genesis V6s and V8s use, so if the Azera is the same, we have our answer. Not a Fram fan, but all their filters (except the cheapest ones) look as good as the others. Saw the 10515 and there's nothing to it (no valves), so can't imagine the stock one being much better, but comments welcome.

Just have 1,500 miles right now, but have 2 trips planned in June, which will put me around the 4K-mile mark. At that point, will change it to Mobil1 5/30 in about a month. Have plenty of time to order anything if needed. Thanks gang.

EDIT: Title should have said 'changed the oil', not 'change'. Spelling police, please pardon me :p. Can't edit titles here.
