Hi all, I have a 2002 Santa fe, 2.4 that's done 105000 miles. When the engine is first started and driven the fuel system goes into closed loop after approx. 2 minutes. Whilst driving it stays in closed loop until I stop and let the engine idle. After approx. 2 minutes whilst idling the fuel system goes into open loop. I believe the fuel system should stay in closed loop during idle.
The long term fuel trim at idle is -12.5%. Driving it varies from -7% to -20%. The stft whilst driving varies from + 3% to -10%.
The maf readings appear just within the specifications that I have. ie at 2000 rpm the air flow readings should be 7.89 -9.83 grams per second. I have 7.7 g/s. At 3000 rpm should be 12.09-14.83 g/s, I have 12.00.
There is no mil lamp illuminated. The engine also has a slight flat spot/ hesitation between 1800-2000 rpm.
