I am not currently a Santa Fe LWB owner, but looking to be in the near future as thus far it seems like the best option for my family in the 3-row SUV market. One of my biggest concerns when researching vehicles is the ability to do routine maintenance. Seeing the newer Toyota oil change on Youtube which involves a special socket and plastic drain valve just to replace the oil filter makes me shake my head. Thanks to forum member ozzstar his Youtube video of the 3.3L Hyundai engine showed just how well thought out and easy it is with the top mounted oil filter and simple hex head for removal of the filter cap.
My question is regarding transmission fluid service on the Santa Fe LWB, is there a conventional dipstick for checking the fluid level? If not is there at least a fill port that is relatively easy to access? Has anyone changed their fluid yet and removed the pan to see if there is a replaceable filter?
