I have a 2011 Sonata Limited with the 17" alloy wheels. I need a set of winter tires so I am shopping for a spare set of wheels. On my wife's 2011 Sonata SE, I found a cheap set of 16" steel wheels from a 2009 Sonata and these have worked well for her. For me, I have not found any Hyundai wheels but I have found some Honda wheels that sound like they might fit. They are both alloys. One set is 17" from a 2007 Accord and the other is 16" with 205/55R16 Blizzaks off a Civic. I am pretty sure the bolt pattern is correct. The oem Accord wheels have a 40 offset which is in the acceptable range. I was considering 16" since the rubber looks to be cheaper than in 17" but the Blizzaks on the 16" are not a recommended size from Tirerack.
I have two concerns. First, how do I know if the inside of the wheel will clear the caliper and second, do I need to worry about the wheel hub size?
Opinions and suggestions are encouraged.
