2.9 diesel Terry turns over but wont fire.

Hi, I have a 2005 Terry CRD auto. Two days ago when traveling on the Bruce near Nambour, water pump bearing fails and throws the fan belts. Pull over, turn off with key, remove mangled belts. Engine not overheated. Turns over but wont fire, figure that ECU not happy as alternator not turning over. Towed to mech. Fix water pump and belts. Now still turns over but wont fire. Preplace a 5 pin relay under bonnet, which was diagnosed as an issue two yrs earlier (spare in car), still the same. Try to reset ECU by disconnect batt several times. Nope. :confused:. Seems like a sensor issue &/or ECU cutting off fuel supply. Next is get the mobile Autosparky with a diagnostic reader to find fault codes.
Anybody had similar issues like this or got any ideas?
